What's behind the growth
Monzo's brand-building this year spans bigger budgets, standout campaigns and high-profile sponsorships. In FY25, revenue passed £1 billion for the first time. Marketing spend grew alongside it, up 77% to £97.4 million, and spend rose again by 46% to £143.1 million in FY26. That budget shows up in a run of campaigns.
"The Book of Money," a jargon-free finance book with Penguin Random House, launched in September 2025 with a Soho pop-up, followed by a national tour later in the year. It went on to win Financial Marketer's 2025 Campaign of the Year.
"Get Your Money Moving" pushed savings and investing tools from January 2026. Then came "Get Busy Living," Monzo's first global brand platform: ten films narrated by Olivia Colman and its first sonic identity, launched in July 2026.
Alongside that, it renewed its Coventry City shirt deal for a third season in May 2026, and became Official Banking Partner of The Hundred cricket tournament in June 2026.
