What's behind the growth
Chomps has been scaling fast and building its brand on several fronts at once. It's investing in capacity to match demand, announcing a second, 160,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Nebraska after reporting sales growth of 161% year-on-year, roughly ten times the wider category's rate.
It's also expanded beyond beef, turkey and venison for the first time, launching a chicken-based line after more than a decade in development, backed by a full-funnel retail media campaign through Target's Roundel arm as the line launched exclusively at Target ahead of a wider rollout to Costco, Aldi, Whole Foods and Walmart.
Alongside that, it's kept building lifestyle associations, becoming the exclusive meat-stick vendor across seven Ikon Pass ski resorts with on-mountain sampling, and running a limited-edition Halloween carton sold through its own site and TikTok Shop.
